About the event

“Details TBD closer to event date” This is a placeholder for the date!

OVJC is once again taking a trip to Southern WV to ride the Jeep Badge of Honor Bearwallow trails!

Important information about Bearwallow:

Trail website:

https://trailsheaven.com/plan-your-trip/choose-a-trail/bearwallow/

A permit is required. Permits are $26.50 for WV residents and $50 for non-residents. If you do not have a permit, you can purchase a 2023 permit which will allow to you ride Hatfield and McCoy Trails through the end of 2023. Permits can be purchased in advance at Lemon & Barretts in Mineral Wells or can be purchased at the trail head (operating hours vary, so to be safe, please try to purchase your permit beforehand).

Helmets are required on all trails. Permits are decals that are placed on the side of the helmet, so make sure it's a helmet that you don't mind to add a decal to.

The OVJC waiver MUST be signed prior to the ride. The waiver can be viewed and digitally signed here: https://www.ohiovalleyjeepclub.com/ovjc-waiver

Once you enter your information and click "Next" you will be able to read the waiver before agreeing/submitting.

As with all official OVJC trail rides, there is a zero alcohol/drugs policy during the event. Glass bottles, drugs, and alcohol are all prohibited on the Hatfield McCoy trails, anyway.

Pack snacks, lunch, drinks, and anything you will need for the day. This will be an all-day event, so plan accordingly.

While the majority of the trails we're riding are stock-friendly, there will be areas of mud, rocks, water, etc. We are recommending (but not requiring) a minimum of 33" tires. Please search YouTube for Bearwallow videos if you'd like to see some of the things we'll encounter.

If you install the Jeep Badge of Honor app on your phone, you can check in at the trails and get your BoH mailed to you. For more information on this program, go to https://www.jeep.com/badge-of-honor.html
