The Ohio Valley Jeep Club (OVJC) is more than a group of Jeep enthusiasts — we are a family dedicated to giving back to the communities we live, work, and wheel in. Through our CARES Community Outreach Program, OVJC commits to supporting causes that reflect our values of service, compassion, and stewardship. Together, we focus on initiatives that honor our military and first responders, uplift local families, promote health and hope, protect animals, and preserve the environment so future generations can enjoy the adventure.

Areas of Focus

US Military Support

We proudly honor and support our veterans, active-duty service members, and their families.

Our outreach includes:​

•    Partnering with local veteran organizations.
•    Participating in events that raise awareness and provide resources for veterans.
•    Supporting programs like Mission 22 and veteran PTSD awareness.
•    Ensuring those who served are recognized and remembered.
•    Supporting Combat to Kayaks.
•    Supporting the Ohio Veterans Big Bass Classic.
•    Partnering with Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) to provide assistance and resources.

🚓🚒🚑 First Responders

We recognize the sacrifice and service of our police, fire, EMS, and dispatch professionals.

OVJC works to:

•    Organize events and rides to honor first responders.
•    Support local departments through awareness, donations, and volunteer efforts.
•    Strengthen relationships with those who protect and serve our communities every day.

🥫 Fighting Hunger

No one in our community should go hungry. OVJC actively contributes to local food banks and partners with churches and organizations to ensure families have access to meals.

Our efforts include:

•    Hosting food drives and donation collections.
•    Volunteering at local churches to cook and serve meals for those in need.
•    Supporting programs that help feed children and families year-round.
•    Participating in the Ohio Highway State Patrol “Cram the Cruiser” Food Drive, helping stock shelves for families in need.
 

💗 Health & Hope

OVJC believes in strengthening lives through compassion, awareness, and support for families facing health challenges.
 

Supporting Youth – “A Better Tomorrow”

•    Mid-Ohio Valley Toys for Tots, serving Wood, Wirt, and Pleasants Counties in West Virginia, and Washington County, Ohio, helping ensure children experience the joy of the holiday season. 
•    BrAva, a Marietta-based nonprofit supporting families affected by childhood cancer.
•    Local youth sports initiatives that give kids a chance to thrive.
 

Breast Cancer Awareness

•    Hosting special events like the OVJC All Girl Ride in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
•    Wearing pink and creating fundraising opportunities to support research and local families.
•    Partnering with local organizations to honor survivors, remember those lost, and encourage early detection.
 

Mental Health, Suicide & Addiction Awareness

•    Supporting The Glow Walk by The Glow Movement, an event focused on coming together to raise awareness for mental health, suicide, and addiction.
•    Shining a light for those struggling in darkness, as well as those in recovery.
•    Promoting hope, healing, and community support for individuals and families impacted by mental health challenges and addiction.

 

🐾 Animals & Local Humane Societies

Our compassion extends to the four-legged members of our communities. OVJC partners with and supports local humane societies and animal welfare groups by:
•    Collecting food, toys, and supplies for shelters.
•    Promoting adoption and awareness events.
•    Advocating for kindness and responsible pet ownership.
 

🌎 Environment – Protect the Adventure

As Jeepers, we value the trails, parks, and natural spaces we explore. OVJC commits to preserving the environment through:
•    Supporting the Tread Lightly! principles of responsible off-roading.
•    Promoting clean-up rides and environmental stewardship.
•    Encouraging all members to protect our lands so adventure remains possible for generations to come.
