About the event
Known as the "USA's Largest Small Town Independence Day Celebration", the Ripley 4th of July Celebration dates back to the late 1800's. It is the oldest parade and oldest Independence Day Celebration in West Virginia. OVJC will convoy down as a group. We will meet at the Rest Area just past Mineral Wells on I77 at 8:30 am. We will then convoy down, picking up anyone along the way, to the Loves gas station (at Ripley/fairplain exit of I77) to pick anyone up in that area and for a drink and food stop before we head over to do staging for decorations and line up for the parade at noon. This is one of our longer parade days so be sure to have snacks and cold drinks. Hope to see you there!
